125,000+ People Have Spoken. Now Ask Your MP to Act.

The proposed Earned Settlement changes could affect people already living, working and building their families' futures in the UK.

If you entered the UK under the existing five-year settlement pathway, ask your local MP to support transitional protection so you can complete your settlement journey under the rules you relied upon.

Step 1 • Contact Your Local MP (Primary Campaign Action)

Enter your UK postcode to identify your constituency MP, personalise your letter if you wish, and request transitional protection for existing Skilled Worker visa holders on the five-year pathway, citing GOV.UK Skilled Worker guidance, the Earned Settlement consultation outcome, and House of Commons Library Briefing CBP-10267 (updated 3 November 2026).

Step 2 • Official UK Parliament Petition #775267 (125,000+ Signatures)

Petition: Legislate to protect ILR applicants from retrospective changes (125,000+ signatures; last verified 4 November 2026). Reaching 100,000 signatures triggers consideration by the Petitions Committee, not an automatic guarantee of a parliamentary debate.

Step 4 • Our Collective Contribution to the UK

Demonstrating income tax, National Insurance, visa fees, the £1,035/year Immigration Health Surcharge (£776/year for children), and everyday economic contributions across UK constituencies.

Step 5 • Understand the Proposed ILR Changes (Facts & Official Evidence)

Under current Immigration Rules in force today, eligible Skilled Workers qualify for ILR after 5 years. Under announced Earned Settlement policy (CP 1448 / CP 1707 and CBP-10267), the government plans a 10-year default baseline, a 5-year pathway for qualifying earners (earnings above £50,270 for 3 of the previous 5 years), specified public-service roles, partner/BN(O) routes, and qualifying pre-12 May 2025 care workers (earning at least £25,000), and a 3-year pathway for top earners (earnings above £125,140), scheduled via Statements of Changes starting December 2026 into 2027.
